Career highlights: His upcoming engagements include the title role in Otello at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Cavaradossi in Tosca with Cincinnati Opera and Don Alvaro in La Forza del Destino at the Deutsche Oper Berlin. The 2019/20 season featured role debuts as Don Alvaro in La Forza del Destino at Deutsche Oper Berlin and as Radames in Aida for his Houston Grand Opera debut. He also returned to Washington National Opera in the title role of Otello. In the prior season, he made his staged role debut as Otello, performing it at Canadian Opera Company and Deutsche Oper Berlin after concert performances with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. He also sang Manrico in Il Trovatore in Munich and Chicago, and the title roles of Idomeneo in Salzburg and Roberto Devereux in San Francisco.

Career highlights: While the pandemic forced the cancellation of her engagements as Carmen at the Metropolitan Opera and Canadian Opera Company, she has emerged as a leading figure in classical music’s shift toward conversations of inclusion and racial justice. She led a panel on race and inequality in opera with LA Opera that drew international acclaim. She also performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic under Gustavo Dudamel for the digital SOUND/STAGE series. Future performances include Giovanna Seymour in Anna Bolena at Dutch National Opera and Carmen with Cincinnati Opera. Recent appearances include her Met debut as Nefertiti in Akhnaten, as well as a house and role debut with Washington National Opera as Dalila in Samson et Dalila. Other recent career highlights include her sold-out Carnegie Hall Recital debut and her role debut as Carmen at the San Francisco Opera.

Recent appearances include his debut at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo as Gurnemanz in Parsifal in a new production by Graham Vick, his return to the Rome Opera as Prince Gremin in Eugene Onegin, as well as his debut at Opera Norske in Oslo as Claggart in Billy Budd. He is the winner of the 2009 Beverly Sills Award and the 2003 Richard Tucker Award.

Career highlights: He regularly performs leading roles at the Metropolitan Opera, San Francisco Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Houston Grand Opera and Seattle Opera, among many others. He has appeared in concert with the New York Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Philadelphia Orchestra, LA Philharmonic and Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (2015/16 Artist in Residence). Career highlights: Early in 2020, he was the tenor soloist for the Verdi Requiem with the Quad City Symphony Orchestra. He has performed the title role in The Tales of Hoffmann with Arbor Opera Theater, William Marshall in Blitzstein’s Regina with Opera Theater of Saint Louis, and Trajan in a workshop of Rufus Wainwright’s Hadrian with Canadian Opera Company. He has been a Young Artist with Palm Beach Opera and a Studio Artist with Wolf Trap Opera.
