About: She made her role debut as Lucia at the Deutsche Oper Berlin earlier this year. Recent highlights include Marguerite de Valois in Les Huguenots at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, Woglinde in Das Rheingold at the Bregenz Festival, and Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos with Cincinnati Opera and Santa Fe Opera. Most recently, she performed Sophie in Der Rosenkavalier with Munich’s Bavarian State Opera and Michael in Handel’s Saul with The English Concert at the Edinburgh International Festival. Later this season, she will make debuts at the Komische Oper Berlin as Ophélie in Hamlet and Glyndebourne as Tytania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

In the 2020/21 season, he was seen as Marcello in La Bohème for his debut at San Diego Opera; Escamillo in Carmen with Opera Santa Barbara; and his return to Des Moines Metro Opera as Prince Yeletsky in The Queen of Spades and as Momus in Rameau’s Platée. He was scheduled to appear as Jan in Missy Mazzoli’s Breaking the Waves in both Los Angeles and Houston. He made his debuts at the Metropolitan Opera and Houston Grand Opera as Zurga in The Pearl Fishers and made his Carnegie Hall debut with the American Symphony Orchestra for Elgar’s The Kingdom. He also recently returned to Tulsa Opera for performances of Carmen, as well as to the Pittsburgh Symphony for Fidelio.

About: In 2023, he will perform King Marke in Tristan und Isolde at the Opéra National de Paris, Emile Griffith in Terence Blanchard’s Champion at the Metropolitan Opera and Wotan in the Ring cycle at the Vienna State Opera. His many appearances with the Metropolitan Opera include Porgy in Porgy and Bess (for which he won a Grammy Award) as well as, most recently, the Verdi Requiem and Philippe II in the original French version of Don Carlos. Earlier this year, he performed King Marke in Tristan und Isolde with Santa Fe Opera and Vodnik in Rusalka in a staged concert version in Hamburg. Other recent performances include Sarastro in The Magic Flute at the Glimmerglass Festival and Wotan in Die Walküre with Seattle Opera.

About: He most recently performed Remendado in Carmen at Santa Fe Opera, Ernesto in Don Pasquale at New England Conservatory and toured with the ensemble I Gemelli as Giove and Amphinome in Monteverdi’s The Return of Ulysses to the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris as well in Metz, France, and Geneva, Switzerland. A recording is set to be released in 2023. In 2021, he performed Count Almaviva in the Opera Theatre of St. Louis production of The Barber of Seville and was an Apprentice Artist at Santa Fe Opera, covering the role of Lysander in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

About: In 2022, she finished her graduate studies at Rice University, Shepherd School of Music, where she previously obtained her bachelor’s degree in 2019. Last season, she performed Zerlina in Don Giovanni for the grand opening of the Brockman Hall for Opera at Rice University. In 2020, she performed the title role in a filmed production of Ravel’s L’enfant et les sortilèges, part of the Shepherd School’s initiative to provide opera to the public during the pandemic. In her Rice University debut, she performed Taller Zegner in Missy Mazzoli’s Proving Up.

About: He recently created the role of Giorgio in New York City Opera’s world premiere of Ricky Ian Gordon’s The Garden of the Finzi-Continis. He was an inaugural member of the Renée Fleming Fellowship at the Aspen Musical Festival, where he performed Tamino in The Magic Flute. This season he performs the Verdi Requiem with the Bach Festival Society of Winter Park and will return to LA Opera as Cassio in Otello.
